Organization Description
The Beaufort Lions Club is a charitable organization that focuses on the visual needs of community residents. We provide financial assistance for eye glasses for low income local residents. The cost of the eye exam is not included.
The Beaufort Lions Club also does eye screening in local private and public schools from nursery through high school as well as at local Health Fairs.
Through the South Carolina Lions Charitable Services organization in Columbia, SC, upon referral by local eye doctors, we help arrange eye surgeries for those in financial need. We also work in conjunction with SCLCS to help financially qualified residents with the cost of hearing aids. (*Please note that an application including detailed financial information is required by SCLCS for surgeries and hearing aids.)
