United Way of the Lowcountry is proud to partner with Palmetto Bluff Club and Montage Palmetto Bluff to bring FREE, confidential tax preparation to all eligible employees of both organizations through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
Certified, IRS-trained volunteers – including Palmetto Bluff residents – will help you prepare and e-file your tax returns safely and accurately, making sure you receive the refunds and credits you’ve earned.
What Is VITA?
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is an IRS-sponsored program offering free tax help to individuals and families with moderate incomes.
Through this partnership, all eligible employees can get trusted, professional-quality tax preparation at no cost.

How to Register
Registration opens in December. Please check back to reserve your appointment.
Space is limited and advance registration is required. Once the scheduling link is open, you will be able to reserve your time slot on this page.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please remember to bring:
- A photo ID for you (and your spouse, if filing jointly)
- Social Security cards (or ITIN documentation) for all household members
- All relevant tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, etc.)
- Any documents related to education, childcare, or other tax credits
