We are a five branch public library system located in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Beaufort County Library cards are free to residents and property owners of Beaufort County, SC. We are a department of the Beaufort County Government. Each of our branches are gathering places that allow all residents – regardless of economic, social or racial background – free access to education, technology and literacy development. We offer free check out of books, eBooks, audiobooks, DVDs; internet access; reference service; fun and educational programming for all ages.
