All agencies that submitted during the prequalification phase have received their eligibility notifications informing them whether they are eligible to proceed. The software will open beginning July 1st, and all agencies are able to access their applications immediately.
While training is mandatory (for all agencies NOT currently receiving United Way funding), you DO NOT have to attend the training before you begin filling out the application. The below CommunityForce walk-through guide will help you navigate through the software so that you can begin working on your application immediately. In fact, we ask that you begin working on the application before our mandatory training so we can answer any specific questions.
Organizations will have from July 1st through August 5th to complete the online application phase. All applicants (except those currently receiving United Way grants) must attend the mandatory training. The recorded training will be made available for reference purposes on July 13th. This training will provide a comprehensive overview of the application process as well as a detailed description of the information requested within each individual component of the application. It will also provide a step-by-step walkthrough of how to navigate all of the features you will need to complete your online submission with CommunityForce.

After the two scheduled training sessions, you will be offered the opportunity to attend work sessions to ask specific questions to increase the quality of your application. While work session attendance IS NOT required, it is strongly encouraged. Remember, this is a competitive funding process and only the top scoring programs are placed on panels and are able to receive funding so you don’t want to leave any points on the table in a competitive funding process!
Even if you do not have any specific questions in mind, some great “real life” discussion will happen about completing the application and could prove to be invaluable!
Work Session dates and times:
July 25th from 10 a.m. – noon (Zoom Only)
July 25th from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. (Zoom Only)
