Application Period: JULY 8 – August 8
Organizations will have from July 8 – August 8 to complete the online application. All applicants (except those currently receiving United Way grants) must attend a mandatory training. This training will provide a comprehensive overview of the application process, as well as a detailed description of the information requested within each individual component of the application. It will also provide a step-by-step walk through of how to navigate all of the features you will need to complete your online submission with CommunityForce.
While training is mandatory (for all agencies NOT currently receiving United Way funding), you DO NOT have to attend the training before you begin filling out the application. The below CommunityForce walk-through guide will be able to navigate you through the software so that you can begin working on your application immediately. In fact, we ask that you are already working on the application when you attend training so that we can answer any specific questions you may have.
Note: If the volunteers select your program for funding, you will be required to provide the following documentation, along with your signed Grantee Memorandum of Agreement (GMOA):
Trainings will be held at United Way of the Lowcountry’s Beaufort office located at 1277 Ribaut Road, Beaufort, SC 29902.
You must RSVP for the trainings by clicking on the following link: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/aOJm7Bpe
After the two scheduled training sessions, you will be provided the opportunity to schedule a 25 minute, one-on-one work session to ask specific questions to increase the quality of your application. Remember, this is a competitive funding process and only the top scoring programs are placed on panels and able to receive funding.
(Please know that your grant application should be predominantly complete prior to your scheduled appointment.)
The mode is up to YOU! Your one-on-one can be conducted in person at the United Way office, by telephone, or via ZOOM!
