The Lowcountry District Boy Scouts of America consists of 1100 youth and 29 units that belong to various community organizations throughout all of Beaufort and Jasper Counties. We have over 400 adult volunteers that train these young people in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities and educational programs. Youth in our program are equipped to make better choices and will become more productive citizens, thus increasing their quality of life in Beaufort and Jasper Counties. In addition, tens of thousands of community service hours are provided to organizations in the local area by Scouting units.
