Charlotte-Based Company Packs Hygiene Kits for Lowcountry Vets During Hilton Head Island Sales Retreat
United Way of the Lowcountry (UWLC) recently received an unexpected donation from a Charlotte, NC-based company holding its annual sales retreat on Hilton Head Island.
As part of a teambuilding exercise, sales staff members at Insight Partners assembled more than 300 hygiene kits specialized for Lowcountry veterans. Each resealable kit contains soap, shaving cream, shampoo, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, wash cloth, pack of Kleenex, hand sanitizer and a personal note of encouragement.
“We can’t thank Insight Partners enough for taking the time to make a difference in our community during their stay on Hilton Head Island,” said UWLC’s Vice President for Community Impact Chrystie Turner. “So many of our Lowcountry veterans lack the basic hygiene amenities needed to keep them safe and healthy. Putting these specialized kits in the hands of our veterans is a great way to honor and thank them for their service.”
United Way will distribute the kits to the VA Outpatient Clinic in Beaufort as well as to local law enforcement agencies in Beaufort and Jasper counties.
“We are honored to have had the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause through our teambuilding exercise,” said Insight Partners President Mark Murray. “The United Way of the Lowcountry has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of residents in Beaufort and Jasper counties, and we are grateful for the chance to give back to the veterans who have given so much. It is important for us as a company to make a positive impact on the communities in which we work and live, and we are proud to have partnered with the United Way of the Lowcountry to do just that.”
In addition to the kits, Insight Partners also made a donation to United Way’s 2022 Annual Campaign.
