United Way of the Lowcountry (UWLC) is pleased to announce the addition of two new community leaders to its all-volunteer governing board.

Jeanine Bostick and Carl Kilpatrick will join the existing UWLC Board of Directors who provide governance and philanthropic support to make the Lowcountry a better place to live, work and raise families.

“We are incredibly fortunate that United Way of the Lowcountry attracts dedicated individuals, like Jeanine and Carl, who are willing to donate their time and talents to build a stronger Lowcountry,” said UWLC President and CEO Dale Douthat. “We are grateful for the critical role these community leaders play alongside United Way staff to create transformative change that will last for generations to come in Beaufort and Jasper counties.”

Jeanine Bostick serves as the Director of Jasper County Board of Elections & Voter Registration. Prior to joining Jasper County, she worked with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control in Beaufort and South Carolina Department of Corrections in Ridgeland. Bostick is a native of Jasper County and an active member of her church and community. She received her bachelor’s degree in human resources development from Limestone University.

Carl Kilpatrick is the Market President for Northern Beaufort and Jasper County at South State Bank. He has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry. A native of Jasper County, Kilpatrick has served on numerous boards in the area, including Coastal Carolina Hospital, Technical College of the Low Country Business Advisory Board, The Southern Carolina Alliance and Beaufort County School Improvement Council. He received his bachelor’s degree from Lander College and MBA from Winthrop University.
