23 Mar Applications Are Being Accepted for Women United Scholarships

Women United Offers $1,000 Scholarships to
Local Nontraditional Female College Students
United Way of the Lowcountry’s Women United is pleased to announce the availability of $1,000 scholarships for nontraditional female students attending college in the Lowcountry area.
The Women United scholarship is open to female students of any age who are currently employed and have a satisfactory employment rating. They may be a new or returning student registering for a minimum of six credit hours at the Technical College of the Lowcountry or the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Applicants must have made some contributions to the community through volunteering in church, nonprofits, civic organizations, educational institutions, etc. Previous recipients may re-apply for the scholarship.
Established in 2020, The Women United Scholarship Fund has provided 11 local nontraditional female students with $1,000 scholarships each, totaling $11,000.
